Minimum requirements:

Be in possession of a Matric certificate (preferably with mathematics or accounting). 1 - 2 years’ shipping experience. Excel proficiency at an intermediate level is essential. The applicants must be prepared to undergo an assessment and interview process.

Overview of key activities:

Main switchboard relief. Issue shipping instructions. Process VOC’s. Follow up and chase Shipping Agents for Bills of Lading. Update and control export documentation. File export documentation after numbering them and entering their index number onto the control sheet / database. Ensure steel rebates are claimed effectively including preparation and submission of claims and capturing of claim numbers on control sheet / database.
