SHIPS AGENCY OPERATIONS CLERK – V&A WATERFRONT, CAPE TOWN
R9 000 Basic approximately CTC R11600 before Probation, CTC after Probation R14000
Benefits - Pension Fund 6% basic salary, Medical aid, Travel Reimbursement, Petrol Card
Additional Allowance R2500 after successful probation

This is a well-established company within the SHIPPING/LOGISTICS industry. They are seeking an experienced Clerk to join their Cape Town team.

Requirements:

2 years’ experience in shipping environment preferably ships agency
Operations experience in a Junior function essential
Maritime/Logistic NQF 4/5
Overtime/after hours worked required to manage vessel when at terminal including pubic holidays etc
Attention to detail, strict adherence to rules and regulations
Strong Interpersonal skills and handling difficult situations
Stress Tolerance in an ever-changing environment
Computer skills and communication skills
Planning and organising skills
Professional Candidate to deal with third parties at all levels
Able to get to the office before 08h00 everyday (punctual, self-disciplined)
Must have own reliable transport
Ability to work under pressure under minimum supervision
Be prepared to visit terminal at all hours when required to do so

Responsible and Accountable for:

Preparing Inbound / outbound documentation
Planning of vessels discharge and loading operations
Berthing/Sailing of vessels
Sending of relevant reports and files to Principal and third parties
