SAASVELD DIPL IN FORESTRY / BSC DEGREE IN FORESTRY + 5 YEARS FORESTRY EXPERIENCE + FIRE MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE + EXP PLANTATION SAFETY REQUIREMENTS + WILLING TO DO FIRE STANDBY DURING FIRE SEASON +

The main objective of this position is to manage the silviculture, fire protection, enviromental , roads and other platation activities on Rhenosterhoek Plantation. (SABIE REGION)
Ensure that all activities on the APO are completed
Meet monthly and annual budget targets
Ensure maximum plantation potential is reached by optimal management of the growing stock
Focus on establishment to ensure 90% stocking of compartments
• Management of contractors to ensure quality and value for money operations
• Adherence to FSC, safety and company quality standards The main objective of this position is to manage the silviculture, fire protection, enviromental , roads and other platation activities on Rhenosterhoek Plantation.
• Management and control of company assests
• Schedule all activities in advance by planning and prioritising work well ahead of time
Fire management and fire risk reduction using the Fire Risk Management System
