I have a client looking for a Site Agent to start immediately for a contract in Durban. Candidates must have at least 10 years’ experience in roadworks. They are prepared to pay a market related salary including vehicle & data allowance and full benefits. The applicants must all have their own bakkie (preferably diesel) and it must be insured. Higher grade matric passes in maths and science and a good number of distinctions for their tertiary education would be advantageous.

SITE AGENT REQUIREMENTS

• Ideally be between 30 – 40 years
• Intelligent and show initiative
• Qualified – Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering /Construction Management
• At least 10 years’ experience
• Able to work independently
• Have a strong work ethic
• Able to work in a small company environment
• Have own bakkie
• Must be prepared to work and live anywhere
• Salary negotiable
• Experienced in:
- Contracts up to R50m and t/o up to R5m per month.
- Roads, earthworks, pipelines etc.
- Costing, allowables, reports
- Measurement certificates
- Know most of conditions of contract: GCC, NEC, JBCC, FIDIC
- Contractual issues, letters, claims etc.
- Programmes, cashflows, forecasts
- Safety and Environmental procedures, inductions, registers, reporting
- All common company reporting: Daily diaries, Photos, Time sheets,
- Orders, Buying records, Assets
