Education / Qualification

• BSc or BTech in Civil Engineering

Experience

• Approximately 3 years as a Site Agent and 3-5 years as an Engineer on site.
• Roads & Surfacing Construction experience.

Requirements

• Sound knowledge of site environments and workflow requirements
• Good technical knowledge associated with site construction requirements
• Computer literacy
• Sound knowledge of all Construction Industry legislation
• Good interpersonal skills and people management ability
• Contract Law
• Planning and Scheduling

Key Responsibilities

o Compile accurate cost reports timeously
o Compile accurate contract cash flow, Turnover Forecast, Margin Forecast. Monitor variances and address monthly
o Ensure timeous compliance to contractual correspondence (e.g. notifications, timeframes, site letters, meetings)
o Ensure workflows are optimized and all documentation is easily accessible and records are maintained(e.g. filing systems, distribution systems, tender files, minutes of meeting, etc)
o Ensure safety appointments in place
o Ensure all individuals take accountability for all safety and environments requirements of the site
o Develop and monitor contractual programs as per requirements
o Develop and monitor resourced working program
o Monitor program and implement fortnightly rolling horizon program
o Update Contractual program as required
o Ensure method statements are prepared and submitted timeously
o Labour reports issued and used effectively i.e. overtime, coding, etc
o Implement effective stores control (i.e. stock levels, daily deliveries, etc)
o Management of Plant, Equipment and Vehicles
o Adherence to Quality procedures
