Leading Pharmaceutical Company has a vacancy for a Site Engineer to Plan direct and coordinate the design construction modification continued performance and maintenance of equipment and machines in industrial plants and the management registration licensing and planning

Key Responsibilities:
Assume accountability for all assigned projects from conception through completion including architectural, structural, mechanical, process, electrical, automation and specialised equipment design and specifications
Ensure suitable document control and recordkeeping for identified projects are in place (CAPA’s, vendor documents, SLA’s, URS & reports etc.)
Drive multi-disciplinary teams to ensure greatest benefit of the identified projects within the correct technical standards and budget constraints
Apply knowledge of best practice engineering methods and applications

PROCESS ENGINEERING
Ensure that Nutritionals deliverables process disciplines are in place
Manage the preparation and coordination of all process engineering including but not limited to basis of design, scope of work, simulations, data sheets, flow diagrams and technical reports
Produce process deliverables which meet SHE, quality and technical standards, are cost effective and within accepted timeframes

PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Assume accountability for overall project management and design leadership in implement major capital improvements
Accountable for project resource requirements, identification, management (cross functional, internal and external consultants, contractors and suppliers)
Direct, plan and establish project scopes, budgets and implementation timelines in support of business goals and in collaboration with Senior Management and stakeholders
Direct engineering design and development for complex engineering designs and practices
Assume responsibility for facility and equipment as per needs of identified projects
Develop, approve and review all purchase requisitions, design specifications, drawings and change order to ensure objectives are met

CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT
Provide leadership on continuous improvement initiatives/optimisation and innovative concepts
Develop continuous improvement goals and objectives in conjunction with Senior Management which include but are not limited to outcomes, root cause and actions, compliance and time & budget specifications
Drive initiatives that support reduction in production costs, lead times, downtime and waste

Requirements:
Matric/Grade 12
BDegree in relevant Engineering discipline (Mechanical/Electrical/Chemical/Food)
Relevant industry certificates
At least 5 years experience in process engineering in a food and dairy system design
At least 5 years experience in project management within the food dairy industry
Sound knowledge and experience of regulatory & legislatives requires for food and dairy industry
Experience in Large Capital Projects
Computer literate (MS Package, AutoCAD)
