Purpose of the Job
Reporting to the Operations Manager and working closely with the Site Supervisors, Engineers, Sales as well as Customers, the Site Manager has the lead of the power projects assigned to him. The Site Manager will be expected to work with both internal groups and field teams in order to contribute to the realization of the Business Unit objectives. The primary responsibility of this position is to plan, organize, manage, execute and evaluate power generation projects.
Job Responsibilities
Commercial Offer
• Support sales with practical information on project execution
• Perform site visits to collect local information on site conditions, housing, Health and Safety
Project Preparation
• In the handover from sales receive and accept contract information and other information gathered in the sale phase
• Arrange for tools and nuts and bolts required for project
• Make a crew planning with Site Manager
• Finalize equipment list and communicate to Group Services
• Cooperate with Group Services to meet operational, logistic and technical requirements
• Make project budget calculation in relation to the contract in coordination with financial controlling
• Arrange for housing, food, visa travel arrangements for project crew
• Take responsibility for the use of the Company exact system to capture the project into the project management system
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Have 5 or more years of project and operational experience in a supervisory role in the power industry
• Good knowledge & experience in mechanics and/ or electrical maintenance
• Possess and demonstrate leadership and supervisory skills
• Have good troubleshooting skills
• Must be a hands on person
• Knowledge and experience on health and safety regulations
• Willing to work 7 days a week
• Willingness to relocate to another country/ region
• Excellent communicator at all levels
• Ability to travel extensively
• Able to work independent
• Good interpersonal skills
• Ability to build a team
• Good analytical and problem solving skills
• Result oriented

Educational Background
• Apprenticeship and experience in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• Fluent English and French speaking
• Good literacy (reading/ writing)
• Good level of IT literacy
• In possession of driver’s license
• Electricity/ Electrical Engineer/ Power generation. As studies, preferred University or Bachelor level. Certification: PRINCE; PRINCE2. Project management courses
• Good level of IT literacy
• Flexibility. Candidate should be ready to jump on an airplane whenever needed
• Working experience in CIS region is a must
• Professional level of written and spoken English and French
• Working experience within a service company and relevant experience with logistics in SSA region is a pre

Project Operation
• Be the vocal point for the project
• Communicate with the Customer on site and during the project
• Ensure site availability, cranes and other local necessities
• Coordinate troubleshooting
• Realize projects within the budget, in cooperation with the Application Engineer
• Take care of administrative part of the project and administrate costs related to the project
• Invoice to the Customer

Project Evaluation
• Evaluate overall performance of the project
• Evaluate planning & organizing performance of the project
• Define & implement lessons learned
