Job Purpose / Key Responsibilities:
Converts high level supply plan into a finite schedule based on defined production strategies, while ensuring maximum operational efficiency, balance to cost and capacity.
ACCOUNTABILITY/RESPONSIBILITY
• Manages the short term planning process by converting the 0 – 13 week supply plan into an optimized production schedule
• Ensure that local ERP system reflects the optimized production scheduled and/or changes to the schedule
• Coordinate & Facilitate daily supply performance meetings (batch tracking) in order to build strong relationships between different support functions
• Maintain the relevant master data relevant to scheduling in order to retrieve up to date data for effective planning (batch sizes, shift patterns, crew factor, demonstrated run rates, C/O, product sequence matrix, cycle times, PM, shutdown calendars, product conversion cost, inventory holding cost, asset depreciation, etc.)
• Maintain and improve the operating model for the South Africa Supply Chain with all associated Core Commercial Cycle processes (CCC) and systems (e.g.. Manugistics, SOLS, JDE, BPCS, Babel etc.).
• Implement appropriate measures to ensure we achieve Conformance to Plan, Make Frequency, Manufacturing Lead-time, Site Days Inventory Outstanding & Inventory Reduction Targets and prepare weekly/monthly reports indicating performance against these targets
