Overview:

Fetola is looking for a Skills Development and HR Coordinator to join our team. This position is for an individual with a passion for Skills Development, Training, and Human Resource Management. You will also be responsible for assisting the HR Department with efficient delivery of solutions and day to day administration.

Experience and Training:

• Relevant University Degree (Human Resources Development, Human Resource Management, Labour Relations, Business Management, Project Management, or similar field)
• Basic knowledge of legislation (EEA, BCEA, LRA)
• Minimum of two years’ experience in the Training and Development field; or any combination of training, education and experience for the required knowledge and abilities
• Two or more years’ experience in HR administration/working in an HR department (advantageous)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Key Tasks:

Duties include but not limited to:

1. External Training and Development

• Plan training calendar
• Review and update training content
• Assist Training Manager with agenda and ensure sign off with facilitators
• Provide support /guidance to logistics coordinator and check-in
• Secure guest speakers and support facilitators
• Invite and host all stakeholders
• Attend training workshops as required
• Ensure training is facilitated within allocated time
• Support facilitators as required
• Manage and analyse workshop feedback
• Manage online e-learning component after workshops
• Make recommendations for future training interventions

2. Support all HR administration related activities

Assist Manager with the planning, administration and implementation of:

• HR related communications and queries
• Recruitment and Selection – placement, shortlisting, interviewing and appointment
• Induction – Ensure orientation is successful, maintain a checklist
• Policies and Procedures – Review, update where needed and ensure they are accessible and communicated
• Employee files – Are kept up to date, confidentiality maintained
• Performance Management – successful planning and implementation

3. Internal Training and Development

• Support internal staff training initiatives
• Ensure alignment of individual skills development as part of succession planning strategy
• Developing feedback mechanisms and compiling feedback results
