JOB DESCRIPTION
Role Title:
Skills Development Facilitator


Overall Purpose and Responsibility

To provide skills development and training support to clients whilst complying with the Skills Development and Employment Equity Act of SA. To manage client portfolios in line with their service level agreement.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Discretionary Grant Application and Administration & Learnership/Apprenticeship Project Management

• Source accredited training providers for clients as required
• Maintain a calendar for Discretionary Grant Applications and Claims
• Prepare claims for submission to SETAs (100% quality submissions)
• Liaise with SETAs and providers for information required for tranche claims
• Preparation of Discretionary Grant Claims within time frames as per contracts for approval and submission
• Review attendance registers and assessment results for further action with learner / clients. Address concerns with provider/client/ Manager as required.
• Follow up on outstanding assessment and moderation results
• Participate in monthly training provider meetings
• Prepare and recommend feedback reports on monthly meetings within 2 days of meeting. Distribute reports within 2 days of feedback from manager
• Filing of documentation as and when required

Workplace Skills Plans and Annual Training Reports
• Coordinate information from clients in order to compile information for reporting
• Assist in compilation of all information for the capturing of WSP and ATR for all clients
• Capture of WSP and ATR on SETA online systems timeously
• General administration of documents for WSP and ATR
• Monitor implementation of WSP and ATR against plans submitted to SETAs
• Identify areas of concern and raising concerns with manager
• Administer and monitor activities relating to WSP and ATR as directed by manager
• Distribute of monthly report within 3 days of submission to manager
• Filing of documentation as and when required
• Attend SETA SDF Forums when required
• Source accredited training providers for clients as required

Quality Assurance with SETAs

• Upload learners onto SETA System (entry and exit)
• Facilitate and submit external moderation requests with SETAs
• Follow up with SETA regarding LA numbers, external verifications, SORs and certificates
• Collection of certificates from SETAs when required

Annual Graduation Ceremony

• Assist with the planning and implementing of SAEPA’s annual Graduation Ceremony
• Ensure all learners are fully competent and can be recognised at a graduation ceremony
• Ensure all certificates are issued timeously by the SETA

Employment Equity Reports

• Coordinate and compile information from clients for reporting purposes
• Capture information onto system timeously
• General administration related to Employment Equity reporting
• Identify areas of concern and raise concerns with manager

Administration

• General administration, filing etc. relating to all areas of responsibility

Accountability

You are directly accountable to the Owner for the effective execution of your duties.


General

You will be required to do other tasks as may be directed by management from time to time.

Minimum requirements:

• Grade 12
• Skills Development Facilitator Qualification
• Relevant qualification in Human Resources / Training
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in skills development environment
• SETA experience
• Driver’s license
• Own car
