Description:

• Must have worked on large heavy concrete structures such as Reservoirs, WWTW & Sewerage Works.
• Assumes responsibilities over workers, materials, and plant on a particular contract or section of the work.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assessing job priorities and assigning employees to appropriate job sites.
• Making sure employees have tools and equipment needed for job in order to ensure a good output.
• Overseeing the work and making sure it runs smoothly and as per the plan.
• Making sure safety precautions are followed
• Helping in training new employees and helping them as they learn new tasks.
• Giving clear directions to workers as to what needs to be done to avoid repetitive mistakes by the workers
• Making sure company rules are followed by team.
• Evaluate quickest and easiest way to a job without sacrificing quality of the work being done.
• Responsible for the shutters and mass concrete pours for Reservoirs, WWTW & Sewerage Works.
• Setting out of all elements.
• Managing of a sliding team

Skills, Experience & Education:

• Trade or Diploma relevant to concrete Construction
• Minimum of 5 -10 years’ experience in a heavy concrete construction environment
• 10 years of experience in heavy civil concrete structures WWTW, Sewerage Works & Reservoirs (Water Retaining)
• Must have hands on experience on large civil projects.
• Leadership qualities are essential.
