A leading and well known medical supplier is seeking to employ a Snr Financial Analyst to be based in the JHB North area.

Purpose of the role –

To support the Finance Manager in the analysis and reporting of SA financial accounts. Support the responsible business units with detailed analysis of their related performance.

Key Responsibilities -

• Ensure the company’s compliance and ethics program is followed at all times and strict adherence to the Code of Conducts
• Identify cost saving opportunities by implementing and monitoring operational initiatives
• Performance of month end close processes with adherence to reporting deadlines and assisting the FM with related tasks
• Reconciling key balance sheet accounts, substantiating the balance through support of calculation and identifying reconciling items
• Preparation of sales reports and commission calculations
• New product development of allocated business units
• Daily price and volume analysis
• Preparation of quarterly forecasts and annual budgets
• Preparation of monthly cost centre reporting and presentation thereof
• Identify inventory reduction opportunities, implementing and monitoring thereof
• Monitoring internal controls
• Liaising with intercompany regarding recharges, royalty accruals and management billings
• Analysis and reporting of monthly gross inventory & related serves movements
• Stock counts and perform the resulting financial reconciliations
• Preparation of annual financial statements and related schedules
• Ensure compliance with all statutory and legal requirements i.e. ( VAT, Companies Act, Income Tax and PAYE submissions)

Requirements –

• Degree / Diploma Accounting or Finance
• 3-4 years Accounting experience
• Knowledgeable in SA GAAP / IFRS or US GAAP - (an advantage)
• Must have worked on any ERP system (i.e. SAP, BAAN, JDE, Syspro, etc.)
• Advanced user of Microsoft Excel ( pivot tables, lookup formulas etc.)
