Senior Database Administrator - Oracle DBA
Contract: 6 months, extendible. Exp: 6 years. Banking sector.

Find the requirements below:
Ø Technology exposure:
Ø Oracle 11g release 2 specialisation/design/build
Ø Oracle Real Application Clusters – versions 11g release 2 with Grid infrastructure
Ø Oracle Automatic Storage Management build and design expertise
Ø Oracle Dataguard – Active/Active, Active/Passive – Build and design
Ø Oracle on Redhat Linux
Ø Upgrade and Migration of Oracle from Windows to Linux experience
Ø Database Migration across platforms
Ø Barclays Africa Support tools experience – Service Now, Request, Oasis, eSP
Ø Barclays Africa Change Management and Incident Management experience
As per Role Profile for Specialist Database Administrator:
• Essential / Minimum:
Ø (5) years’ experience and exposure to the Banking/ ICT Industry
Ø Good understanding of ITIL processes and associated concepts.
Ø (3) years’ experience in a high degree of commercial awareness with sound understanding of key contractual obligations and risks to maximize benefits
Ø (3) Years’ experience in understanding the concepts of service delivery and support.
Ø (3) Years’ experience in operating with highly demanding clients.
Ø (5) Years’ experience in the designated Database platform
• Preferred / Advantage:
Ø (3) Years’ experience in understanding of ITIL processes and associated concepts.
Ø (2) Years’ experience working with project teams and programme management
Ø (2) Years’ Experience working within a global team and with various international cultures.
Ø (2) years’ experience working with database security and controls in the Financial Sector

• Knowledge & Skills: (Maximum of 6)
Ø Subject matter Expert in (either one or more) Oracle, Data Warehouse and Ingres, DB2 UDB(LUW), SQL Server (Advanced)
Ø Stakeholder management skills
Ø High level understanding and methodology for troubleshooting technical issues
Ø Interactive skills
Ø Senior Certification in a related technology would be an advantage
