An independent firm of engineers is looking for a Senior Resident Engineer, to work in Belfast (Mpumalanga).

DESCRIPTION

Minimum requirements:

• Relevant Engineering qualification
• Must have 20 years’ experience in same or similar role within Construction/Mining  (roads/earthworks/utilities/concrete).

Job Description:

• Supervision of site on a day to day basis.
• Monitor progress, quality and time.
• Ensure work is performed as per contract specifications and to required standards.
• Ensure Compliance with Safety, Health and Environmental Standards
• Attend to and resolve site problems.
• Issue instructions and variation orders as required.
• Check measurements and approve payment certificates.
• Site meetings and preparation of various reports.
• Report to Client on the project and keep client’s Project Manager informed of project activities.
• Duties include site design changes where required.
• Coordination with various stakeholders.
• Supervise and monitor construction of Civil, Electrical, Mechanical and Telemetry works,
• Preparation of site modified detail drawings where required,
• Ensure Compliance with Safety, Health and Environmental Standards.
• Ensure compliance with FIDIC conditions of contract.
