An opportunity exists for a candidate with 4-5 years of practical, hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL 2008 and SQL 2014 in an enterprise and/or Data Centre environment. You will need to have experience in clustered high availability SQL systems.

Requirements:

• Database Administration for MSSQL Server
• Knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for MSSQL Server
• Implementation of operational automation using scripts.
• Data Movement using SSIS Or similar tools
• Report Writing using SSRS, PowerBi or Similar
• Datawarehouse Concepts and Design
• Indexes, index management, and statistics
• Windows server, including Active Directory and proper disk configurations
• T- SQL, queries, creation of scripts, Stored Procedures, Views, Functions, Triggers
• SQL Server administration, Jobs, Backups, Table Indexing
• SQL Server tools (SSMS, SAC, SSCM, PerfMon, DMVs, system Sproc, SSIS)
• Cloud Based Computing, Mainly Azure
• Ability to Create Solutions using modern Architecture

Duties:

• Troubleshooting and resolving database problems
• Performance issues, replication, log shipping, security and performance tuning
• PTO - using native monitoring & troubleshooting tools
• Backups, restores, recovery models
• Database shrink operations
• DBCC commands
• Clustering, Database mirroring and Replication
