RedCat Recruitment is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced SOC ANALYST for a large concern – position based in Pietermaritzburg.

JOB DESCRIPTION / REQUIREMENTS
Grade 12.
Comptia Security+ and Cisco CCNA qualifications.
Experience in SIEM products; Palo Alto firewalls; Darktrace and Nessus.
3-5 years in general IT support roles.
At least 2 years’ experience working in a SOC (security operations centre) environment.
Working knowledge of security standards and principles, and applying security related controls.
Demonstrable experience in the identification and remediation of security vulnerabilities in a timely fashion.
Network administration and/or design.
Continuous monitoring of internal and client security systems.
Incident response and investigation.
Report writing and delivery.
Threat intelligence gathering and analysis.
Assisting in managing and delivering additional security services and products to clients.
Internal infrastructure and systems support.
Product investigation and testing for the SOC.
Contribute to the improvement of the information security within the company.
Continuously acquire, assess, and take action on new information in order to identify vulnerabilities, remedy and minimize the window of opportunity for attackers.
Person will be required to provide monitoring and incident response services to clients around the world.
