Leading South African online retailer of furniture, bedding and decor is seeking a young, energetic and creative SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER to assist in taking the prestigious brand to new heights with innovative ideas and strategies. Candidate must be willing to travel, work weekends and overtime as expected of them as they will join a high pressured and dynamic environment.

The person must be an independent and creative thinker, incredibly proactive and organised. The key goal is to explore unique and effective ways to increase brand awareness and maximise sales by understanding the impact of the marketing strategy across the business.

Qualifications and Preferable Experience Required:
• Appropriate tertiary qualification (B degree or equivalent in Marketing / Communications / Visual Communications or similar)
• Proficiency in MS Office suite
• Experience in Social Media Management (Facebook Ad Manager is a MUST)
• Experience in writing blogs – looking for proactive blogger!
• Must have excellent writing skills – a portfolio of work that demonstrates creative and copywriting ability will be an added advantage
• Content marketing experience
• Digital marketing knowledge and experience
• Adwords competency and understanding implementation
• Mailchimp experience and how to set up lists, create campaigns and schedule campaigns

The successful candidate will be required to:
• Help conceptualise and create engaging and creative communication campaigns, suitable for each defined target market
• Write, edit, proofread and check content for a variety of marketing and communication material to ensure that it is clear, consistent and of the highest quality (Digital, print material, website, social media etc)
• Help develop the social media strategy and implement it across the social channels on a daily basis
• Ensure effective implementation of strategic plans
• Build and engage with marketing lists and contacts to grow distribution of exclusive brands and inhouse brands
• Find, build relationships and manage bloggers/media channels
