Star For Life (SFL) is a non-profit organization with the mission to inspire young people to value learning, acquire the knowledge and skills they need for productive work, and live healthy and meaningful lives. SFL has developed a unique set of programs and workshops that we are currently running in 88 High Schools in South Africa and Namibia to add value to the regular Life Orientation curriculum. Our method empowers learners with self-esteem and internal incentives to adopt positive attitudes and constructive behaviors. SFL started in 2005 as an HIV prevention intervention, but has since then broaden to do Health and SRHR Promotion more generally. SFL seeks the services of a Social Worker who will provide support to the Primary schools.

Requirements:
*Matric/Grade 12+ Bachelor Degree in Social work
*Registered with the South African Council for Social Service Professionals
*1 to 2 years’ experience in a similar or related position
*Training in HIV testing and counselling will be an added advantage
*Experience working with children and/or youth will be an advantage
*Valid code 08 driver’s license
*Fluency in English and any other vernacular language

Duties and Responsibilities:
*To coordinate SFL wellness activities in line with the SFL strategic objectives
*Provide care, support and protection to learners and targeted communities inline with the SFL Wellness Programme
*Ensure that necessary materials for workshops are always kept ready
*Support the monitoring and evaluation of the programme
*Perform all the administrative and reporting functions required for the efficient performance of the programme
