• To plan, schedule, communicate and execute the effective release and maintenance of pre-packed software packages to the client environments, according to the client service agreement using the current software distribution tools with proper reporting
Description of responsibilities:
• To effectively plan and schedule software deployments to client environments, keeping within given SLA's.
• To execute the effective release of pre-packed software packages to the client environments using the current tools in use and other innovative methods when required.
• To effectively provide measurable reports of deployment status and results.
• To effectively provide periodic management reporting in support of deployment status, trends analysis and maintenance of toolsets.
• To maintain effective co-operation with supporting functions through relevant knowledge transfer and assistance in aid of first line support.
• To effectively create and maintain the toolset's artefacts including distributed infrastructure in support of system optimization e.g. Software Profiles, Packages, Collections, etc.
• To effectively maintain the system health of toolsets by performing scheduled tasks.
• To effectively plan and schedule security patches / software to client environments, in support of vulnerability management keeping within given SLA's.
• To ensure quality outputs by following predefined processes and procedures in support of compliance with SLA's and good governance principles
Qualifications and experience required:
• Matric (NQF3)
• MCP, MCSE, Zenworks, CNA, SCCM - Desirable
• 3 – 5 years Microsoft WINTEL
• Exposure to software distribution technologies
• 2 years Decentralized Computing Environment
