Description of responsibilities:

• Package software into unattended MSI and/or Install Script software packages
• Liaise with customer on installation issues to resolve 
• Package software into the software management toolset of choice for deployment
• Monitor and report on the following software management related activities – Performance, Utilization, workstation agent health and stability
• Fault diagnosis and problem solving on software management toolset and deployments
• Perform all functions/tasks according to defined processes and procedures
• Participate in related Customer IT projects
• Standby required during week days and weekends as well as overtime to be worked according to time roster to allow 24 x 7 availability
• Adhere to internal Admin processes (i.e. Time allocation per task, overtime, standby, etc.)
• Participate as part of a team
• Client focused

Qualifications and experience required:

• Matric (Grade 12) compulsory
• Software Management systems training is recommended
• Tertiary IT qualification (Degree, Diploma, MCSE, etc.) is highly recommended
• Solid work experience with Microsoft operating systems is compulsory
• Solid work experience in packaging into Microsoft Installer script (MSI) is compulsory (InstallShield, WISE Studio)
• Solid work experience (at least 3 years) in software configurations for installations is a requirement
• Solid work experience (at least 2 years) in Microsoft Active Directory disciplines is recommended
• Practical Programming experience is highly recommended (VB Script)
• Experience in other Packaging products / tools an advantage (e.g. Orca)

Key Knowledge required:

• WINTEL Configuration/ Technical Components 
• Software Installations (methods tweaks etc)  
• Understanding of Scripting and sequencing of Software Installations 
• Software Distribution Administration (Desirable) 
• Client Environments (Desirable)
