Job Description Key Responsibility Areas:
Assist in the development of documentation of user requirements for a project in conjunction with the User, Business Analyst and Architect.
Development of system design specifications for a product/project in conjunction with Developers
Assist in the development of a project plan for a product/project in conjunction with user, project office, business analyst, and architect.
Research and development of new technologies to be used by the development team.
Design and Develop High performance applications on either Windows or Linux based operating systems
Development of decoding algorithms, web services and data streaming applications for tracking unit data in a Big data environment (Scala and Java) Development of signal router and processing modules in C#
Design and Develop interfaces such as web based solutions for integrating Operational systems in conjunction with other developers.
Development, deployment and monitoring of Cassandra database applications
Assist in the testing and stabilizing of the product/project in conjunction with the user, business analyst.
Following of DevOps principles in a clustered environment to manage development and deployment processes
Deployment of the product/project to the environment
Building Statistical Models to help build client & Big Data Science capabilities.
Technical documentation writing
Job Requirements & Educational Requirements & experience needed:
Grade 12 or Matric Equivalent
BEng (Electronics) or BSc (Software) or BSc (Mathematics)
At least 5 years& development experience
At least 10 years& database development experience or Business Intelligence experience
