Great opportunity for a Senior Software Test Analyst to join an International software company with offices in Cape Town. 

Responsibilities:

• Apply agreed company testing techniques. Test software / system within timeline. Track defects
• Assist with the preparation for other phases of testing, for example user acceptance testing.
• Prepare Test Plans and Test Summary reports as and when required.
• Ensure issues are escalated timeously and appropriately resolved.
• Provide product quality Information.
• Generate test case matrixes
• Test Data Setup
• Plan for manual testing: write, execute manual test cases. Maintain test suits
• Plan for regression testing: write, execute manual regression test cases. Maintain regression test suits
• Plan for automation testing
• Plan for performance testing
• Use structured techniques to solve fundamental problems within one’s own work
• Works under the general guidance of Team Leads within the team, with occasional consultation and collaboration
• Provide estimates for test effort required for sprint work / user stories
• Log, prioritize and resolve defects using defect tracking tool
• Communicate defects to rest of team
• Define root cause and preventative actions for production defects
• Provide test progress transparency to rest of team
• Participate in scrum team sessions, including daily stand-ups
• Pro-actively drive continuous improvement in scrum team

Skills:

 Essential:

• Minimum 3+ years’ testing experience testing enterprise solutions
• Proven experience in QA Testing (identifying test conditions, creating test plans and test cases / scripts from project documentation)
• Good understanding of STLC and processes
• Good understanding of SDLC and processes
• Good understanding of testing governance
• Experience in managing defects and its life cycle
• Test Documentation skills
• Web based software testing

Beneficial:

• Experience with Agile methodology and more specifically of Scrum framework
• Microsoft TFS experience
• Working Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint 2010/2013
• Working Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite 2010/2013
• Test Automation experience

 Qualifiactions

• Relevant IT tertiary qualification
• ISTQB/ISEB certified
• Recognised testing qualification / accreditation and / or training in testing disciplines.
• Understanding of enterprise business processes and IT systems
