Duties:
• Develop test solutions
• Test software
• Identify bugs
Responsibilities include:
• Design automated tests to improve the efficiency of software testing processes
• Ensures that all necessary scenarios are covered in the designed tests, to facilitate thorough testing of software
• Assist team members with unit test formulation
• Writes code according to agreed standards and using the standard template, within the project deadline
• Ensures the correct use of iteration and control structures in the code, as per agreed standards
• Maintains unit tests as required by the team for a particular set of software that requires testing, for regression and other testing purposes
• Maintains testing tools that have been authored internally for the purposes of testing software
• Maintains softwae test cases so that they are up to date and can be referenced as required
• Ensures that the functionality of the software corresponds to the specifications within the project schedule and agreed deadline
• Tests the developed software to ensure that it meets the company quality standards, within the project schedule and agreed deadline
• Reviews the Defect Tracking System reports on a regular basis
• Informs Project Co-ordinator or Technical Lead of status
• Enters precise and understandable bug descriptions on the Defect Tracking System whenever these are identified
• Ensures that no duplicate entries of bugs are made on the Defect Tracking System
• Ensures that the correct priority is allocated to all bugs entered on the Defect Tracking System
