Introduction

Our company requires the services of a competent individual to participate in the Short Term Insurance product and software development process as a software tester. The ideal candidate will have previous software testing experience in the Short Term Insurance or financial services environment.

Responsibilities:
• Preparing detailed test plans, acceptance criteria and test scenarios for each project
• Working with the Product Development team and external vendors in testing of developed software
• Building of Test Use Cases for all products
• Conduct and oversee systems testing, identifying problems & resolving them with the development team
• Oversee and assist Business Owners in conducting UAT
• Establishing testing governance, which includes:
- Monitoring the testing process and identifying and logging test failures
- Performance Testing, Scalability / Stress and Load Testing
- Accurately monitoring and recording results in test documentation
• Providing feedback on test outcomes to Project Manager
• Suggest improvements on tested software
• Follow up changes with developers
• Document new features in order to notify users of software changes
• Assist with Project Management Administration tasks

Minimum Requirements:
• Ability to develop testing strategy to provide assurance that specific desired product and system outcomes have been achieved
• Short Term/Financial Services Industry knowledge
• Qualification in Software testing
• Knowledge of Short Term Insurance products advantageous
• Knowledge of Ski Policy Administration system (Genasys) and Jira workflow highly advantageous
