Our client an Institution for Higher Learning is looking for a Software Tester on a 6 month contract

Primary purpose of role:
Successful incumbent will be responsible for analysing functional documents and translating these requirements into testing scenarios by ensuring the end product works as intended and is of highest quality. Your day will revolve around the preparation and execution of robust testing plans of any enhancements to existing systems and/or new project developments.
To install, configure, maintain and operate a computer systems / network ensuring system availability, the following of business processes, data integrity, security and business continuity.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Good knowledge of SCRUM process by participating in the Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Retrospectives.
? Ensure that all documentation and knowledge within area of responsibility is effectively created, stored and maintained for current and future use.
? Identification of any security vulnerabilities to reduce regulatory risk.
? Adherence to CAB process when logging change requests.
? Work closely with Product Owners, Scrum Masters and Developers to manage releases between Staging and Production environments.
? Ensure bugs logged timeously and in accordance with the SQA Bug logging process.
? Execute and provide feedback to development team on performance, load, penetration and stress tests that determine platform and application capabilities of the end-to-end.
Co-ordinate internal and external resources to ensure that necessary maintenance is performed to ensure the reliable operation of systems and business continuity.
Audit user activities and data selection to comply with audit criteria and security policies.
? Identify if there is a shortcoming on the system, spec it, test it, train others and roll out the new improved system.
? Ensure successful integration and maintenance with 3rd party systems to ensure system availability.
Set-up and manage output devices including the administration of output management utilities.

ICS: SOLUTIONS DELIVERY- Policies and Processes
Understand the policies and processes required within ICS environment.

QUALIFICATION KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
Relevant IT qualification (NQF 6) Diploma
• ISEB/ISTQB Certification (Advantageous)
• 1 years Software Testing experience
