Job Overview
The Solar Project Manager is required to manage all Solar PV projects within the Solar PV Department. He will also be tasked to manage all sales and development process’s, EPC phase of the project, and finally handover to O&M Department. He will assist the Chief Operations Officer in all solar PV related matters from business developments, department operation efficiencies and all EPC work.
All EPC related work includes designing renewable energy systems that will function as expected, accurately predicting the cost of the project and ensuring that the designed systems is robust in operation. Furthermore, the Solar PV Project Manager must continually keep up to date with new technological developments in the field to make sure that the best solution can be offered to the client.

Responsibilities and Duties
• Design of solar PV energy systems
• Draw up budgets for proposed new projects
• Drive all allocated projects from commencement to successful commission completion and handover to the client
• Project scheduling development and maintenance
• Project Scope of Works development and maintenance
• Project logistics management
• Solar Technician management (allocated to your project)
• Client liaising and relationship management
• Subcontractor management
• Measure and create bills of quantities for installations
• Model and simulate the designed systems in order to improve the design
• Accurately predict system performance and production
• Assist with any operations and maintenance issues on all sites under SLA with NSE
• Assist with creating design tools for engineering department
• Development & delivery of project handover documents to client
• Ensure all ISO9001 and ISO45001 compliances are met during construction
• Feedback project learnings to Engineering Department and Operations Manager ensuring continual development
• Handover system to O&M department as per handover procedure

Qualifications
A minimum qualification of B.Eng, BSc. Eng, B.Tech Eng in Mechanical, Electro-Mechanical
Eligible to register with the Engineering Council of South Africa.
