Solar Sales & Branch Manager Cape Town

Our Client reseller of solar PV equipment products in Cape Town is looking for a General Sales Manager // /Branch Manager Well-seasoned Southern Africa, Western Cape and Sales and Branch Manager. To target African market (specifically targeting installers and resellers within the SADC countries). Branch Management of 10 Staff in Cape Town

Min Job and Qualification requirements:
• Matric a MUST
• 3-5 Years Sales Management
• Branch / Office Management experience of 2-3 years
• YOU MUST HAVE SOLAR KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE!!!
• Solar Off Grid, Commercial and Industrial Sales
• Developer across grid tie, grid back-up, commercial and off-grid applications
• Knowledge of export requirements
• Multi-lingual is advantageous but not crucial

Responsibilities
• Direct management and development of the Cape Town office staff including new business, sales, order processing, technical and office administration
• Lead and develop the Capes and Southern Africa sales plan across grid tie, grid back-up, commercial and off-grid applications
• Study export rules and requirements for cross-border sales
• Grow sales within the Cape and target African markets (SADC Countries)
• Build a reputable group of re-sale partners within the target countries
• Driving sales according to the company’s strategic product portfolio whilst providing feedback for improvement/change to the portfolio, marketing and key sales messages for target territories
• Implement team sales targets and goals consistent with direction from the International Sales Manager
• Closely manage the prospects list alongside the account managers and actively participate and assist in the negotiation and close of sales and contract escalations
• Develop high level relationships with key decision makers within existing and potential customers
• Contribute to establishing and maintaining effective customer relations by personally or in conjunction with the off-grid account managers, resolving problems or responding to enquiries
• Review and respond to tender and contract specifications
• Represent the company at public functions and training events
• Identify new opportunities, Identify and overcome sales objections
• Attend customer meetings when required
• Market research and Regular competitor analysis
• Dealing with existing and new manufacturers for project pricing/price negotiations, product information and general support
• Financial management of projects including exchange rates and currency risk
• Maintain details of existing and prospective new legislation and foreign trade relevant to outside of South Africa PV installations
• Manage project supply chain and Prepare complete proposals
• Gather quarterly sales forecasts
• Ensure the account managers remain up to date on business matters and knowledgeable in the target markets with regular training where required
• Staff performance and appraisals
• Oversee Cape Town office facilities and requirements and report/resolve any issues
