Solution Architect
Exp: 7 years
Contract: 4 months, which is extendible. Start: Immediate. Rate per hour R450

• Strong understanding of information processing principles and practices
• Planning, design and hands-on experience within an ITC environment
• Knowledge of hardware and software evaluation principles and practices (related to RFx Processes)
• Thorough understanding of architecture design practices; ability to see the big picture and conceptualise and document creative solutions
• Excellent technical architecture and technical support documentation skills
• Knowledge and experience in business & systems analysis methodologies & standards
• Customer relationship experience, provisioning, stock, communication and billing functions
• Knowledge of Database Management Systems, such as SQL/Server, Oracle, Access etc.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Application Packages such as SharePoint, Exchange, CRM, etc.
• Working Knowledge of MS Visio, Enterprise Architect and or other case tools
• Working Knowledge of Windows Server, Windows Desktop and MS-Office
• Knowledge of application development tools, including .NET, Visual/Studio, TFS
• Knowledge of Open Standards (UML, BPEL, XML, XAML, SAML, WS-*, etc.)
• Working Knowledge of Service Orientated Architecture and Event Driven Architecture practices
• Strong knowledge of enterprise application integration and message / service bus disciplines
• Application development experience, preferably with C#
• Working knowledge of WCF, WPF, WF and Identity Foundation
• Working knowledge of application front-end technologies and frameworks
• B2B integration experience
• Exposure to integration/ SOA/ BPM/ ESB testing
• High-profile Project solution delivery
• Knowledge of Solution Delivery Lifecycle, Project Lifecycle management, TOGAF 9, Cobit 4, ITIL, UML, Agile
• Technical knowledge of IT infrastructure, i.e. Servers, Networks, PC, Storage (SAN, NAS, DAS)
• Infrastructure architecture experience
• In-depth interaction with development teams throughout solution delivery

Qualifications & Experience

• 8+ years general experience in IT
• At least 5 years’ experience in Corporate IT a must
• BCom Information Systems; BSc Computer Science or related degree / diploma preferable
• Experience within a Media and/or Broadcasting environment will be an advantage
