National IT Services Company is looking for a New Business/ Account Manager to sell IT Solutions across the board.

Responsibilities:

  • No.1 Priority: Identify, generate and develop new sales opportunities across the KZN Infrastructure Lines of Business – products / services / solutions
  • Have a solid understanding of my clients strategy and range of services within the KZN region and be able to effectively articulate this value and position my clients as a Strategic Partner / Trusted Advisor
  • To take overall responsibility for strategic positioning of my clients within new and/or assigned accounts to ensure growth and development of the KZN Infrastructure business within the region
  • To provide regular, accurate and detailed forecasts to Management across the various product lines / offerings in the region – to achieve / exceed the committed sales target


Skills / Experience:

  • Minimum 5 to 8 years’ of experience in the ICT market or related field as a high-performing sales person and account manager
  • Experience in selling and building an assigned territory or new accounts from scratch
  • Experience making cold calls and successfully converting new prospects into customers
  • Proven track record producing outstanding revenue & GP achievement whilst working with complex sales cycles
  • Proven track record of building territory from scratch and continually finding and generating businesses from new & existing customers
  • Must be willing & able to work the hours necessitated by the job and to travel for work related training / conferences / customer events when required
  • Creative problem solving skills to solve customer problems and handle objections effectively
  • Ability to learn new industry, products/ services quickly / thoroughly – may require independent, self-study from time to time
  • Strong organizational time management and prioritization skills
  • Outstanding presentation skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills - ability to actively listen
  • Strong interpersonal & people skills
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint Excel, Outlook and Internet Explorer
  • Knowledge & understanding of ICT industry and related adjacent markets is a plus
  • Must possess a strong desire to win and achieve excellent results
  • Needs to be self-starter and someone who feels ownership for activities and results
  • Ability to work in an agile environment that is changing and growing (adaptable)


Essential Duties:

  • Identify, generate and develop sales opportunities across your account base (new and/or existing)
  • Interpret and understand the customers’ needs and align those needs to the specific products, services and solutions offered by my client
  • Develop and manage multi-level relationships within a customer in order to develop medium & long-term value for both my client and the customer – positioning my client as a Trusted Advisor
  • Responsible for facilitating appropriate business unit engagement and ensuring a professional level of quality throughout all account activity and engagement
  • Develop account plans for key accounts that supports the achievement of my client strategic goals.  To help build and present fully justified businesses cases for potential sales opportunities. 
  • Ensure the long-term profitability of my client engagement with the customer
  • To accurately forecast, meet and exceed targets to be defined by customer and by business unit/line of business.  Meet and exceed budget / targets and provide and actively encourage a continual focus on the bottom line.  Keeping company systems up to date with account information and opportunity progress as defined
  • Responsible for ensuring appropriate management and engagement of internal presales, external vendors and relevant partners in order to drive sales growth across the portfolio of customers
  • Will be responsible and directly accountable for New Sales, Business Development, Account Management,  Service Delivery Monitoring, and the overall health and wellness of both new and existing customer relationships within an assigned portfolio
