Solution Specialist SAP SCM APO - Cape Town

Key Purpose
- To provide technical solutions which meet strategic and operational objectives of the business. - Technical solutions development and implementation in SAP SCM modules. 
Key Responsibilities
Business Process Management: - Implement standards and procedures for business process management with assistance from Architectures and Governance Group - Implement business process management strategy with assistance from Architecture and Governance service group - Own Supply Chain services related business process improvement - Identify Opportunities for business process improvements - Develop business case with divisions for business process management - Manage the delivery of business process management activities - Deliver business process management activities with agreed SLA - Manage quality and timeous delivery of business process management activities - Manage overall resolution of process incidence and problems - Modelling Application Management - Assist Consulting Manager in defining application strategies with input from Application Development Manager and Facilities and Infrastructure Manager - Liaise with architecture and Governance Manager in the definition of application support strategies - Identify opportunities to improve business operations through technology - Understand technology and functionality to map business requirements to technical solutions - Manage business analysis to understand, document and communicate requirements and proposed solutions - Apply ITSM and other appropriate methodologies in team - Execute application planning and preparation - Ensure business blueprints are in place for solutions development / configuration - Manage solutions testing - Management development / configuration and implementation of business solutions - Manage quality and timeous delivery of solutions by team - Manage incident and problem resolution by team - Agree on solution ITSM requirements with Facilities and Infrastructure Manager and Application Support Manager Work Management - Apply project management methodology - Utilise project Office templates - Manage projects / RFEs / Changes / problem

Knowledge, Skills & Attributes
Knowledge - Understanding of forecasting models and principles - Understanding of Supply Chain concepts - Ability to configure SAP SCM modules (APO & SNP) Skills - Good interpersonal, communication, problem-solving and analytical skills - Good planning, organising and time management skills Attributes - Attention to detail - Stress tolerant - Ability to work with people of various levels, both in the organisation and in the broader business environment - Ability to operate with little or no supervision - Team player - Concern for accuracy, order and meeting tight deadlines
Qualifications & Experience
- NQF Level 5 or equivalent qualification - SAP Certification - Ability to configure SAP SCM modules (APO & SNP) - Minimum 6 years experience in IT Systems development life cycle - Experience in a full cycle implementation of SCM modules (APO Demand Forecasting and/or SNP) - Minimum 3 years business / commercial experience (advantageous) - Petrochemical or Oil/Gas experience (advantageous)
