Our client in the IT industry is seeking to employ a Solutions Designer to join their vibrant team.

Business and stakeholder engagements including:

• Workshop attendance, JAD Facilitation, Presentations, Group and Business Unit Committee membership and attendance
• Detailed review of Requirements (RM’s) , Business Requirements Specifications (BRS’s) and Functional Requirements Specifications (RFS’s)
• Preparation and / update of Requirements matrices against business and functional requirements

Creation of Conceptual and Detailed Designs including:

• Definition of System Requirements
• Mapping of System Requirements to Functional Requirements
• Component design
• Mapping of component design to the existing application and components landscape
• Solution Design Definition
• Reference to all existing Architecture patterns, standards and conventions

Creation of Detailed Designs including:

• Mapping to system requirements, components and applications
• Application Design
• Integration Design
• Service Design (SOAP, REST, SYNCH, ASYNCH, JSON, XML patterns)
• Data Design (Data definition and modelling)
• Interaction models (Activity, Sequence)
• Infrastructure Design

Creation of Detailed Designs including:

• Mapping to system requirements, components and applications
• Application Design
• Integration Design

Qualifications              

• Bachelor’s degree
• B.Sc. (Computer Science)
• B.Com (Information Systems / Informatics)
• TOGAF / Zachman
• or similar

Working Experience

• Minimum 7 years in Information Technology (applications and software development)
• Minimum 5 years in Software Development
• Minimum 3 years Integration Development
• Minimum 3 years in Financial Services
• Insurance / Retail Investments / Employee Benefits highly advantageous

Technology experience        

• .Net, Framework 4, MVC, HTML5, Angular, Bootstrap CSS3
• Oracle, SQL Server, PL/SQL, T-SQL
• SOAP, REST, XML, JSON
• UML
