Our client requires the services of a suitably qualified, well-motivated and results driven candidate to take up the role of a Sourcing Lead.

Purpose
Accountable for executing, implementing and managing performance of Group-wide contracts in support of the overall sourcing strategy covering +/- R2 billion of annual group spend in various categories (MRO, raw materials, labour, technical services, stationery, facilities, consumables etc.)

Key Performance Areas

• Category Management : provide input into the overall category strategy, including market perspectives, contractor performance, industry cost structures and Total Cost of Ownership drivers / take ownership of the strategy for major sub-category spend, including delivery of associated cost optimisation targets
• Supplier Management : provide input on individual contract performance in order to inform category and executive level supplier engagement / take ownership of strategic supplier relationships for major sub-category spend / assist with managing the national supplier database
• Sourcing : capture specific business requirements and build into ITT or RFx documents / execute group-wide sourcing activity using current sourcing methodologies in order to put fit-for-purpose supply contracts in place / accountable for the implementation of group contracts to enable practical use by the Business Units / support major bid activity where there is a significant category requirement
• Contract Management : monitor and manage contract compliance by the Business Units, including root cause analysis for non-compliance and take any necessary corrective actions / establish and monitor an appropriate supplier KPI regime and actively manage contract performance through timely contract governance in order to achieve Babcock business plans and objectives

Required Qualifications / Experience
• Minimum Matric (Grade 12)
• Technical Diploma / Degree
• CIPS Level 5 or SAPICS professional qualification preferred
• 5+ years in Sourcing and Procurement
• Will have led the end-to-end sourcing process for multi-million rand contracts within a technical environment
• Previous experience of delivering successful sourcing projects in large, complex and decentralised corporate environments
• Track record of implementing contract performance measurement frameworks and implementing initiatives to improve post-award supplier performance
