REQUIREMENTS:
• Valid driver's license
• Min Gr.12 with formal tertiary training
• Min 3 years’ experience in a lodge/hotel kitchen

RESPONSABILITIES:
• Menu planning, stock ordering, stock control, shift schedules, month-end stock take
• All other duties or tasks that might be required from management
• Preparation of food, in line with Standard of Excellence
• Effective guest interaction with regards to specific dietary requirements to enhance guest satisfactions
• Administration of orders to minimize shortages, wastage and effectively control kitchen stock
• Correct use, care and maintenance of kitchen equipment
• Ability to lead a kitchen
• Excellent understanding of kitchen procedure and timing requirements, good planning and organizational skills
• A passion for food and kitchen-related duties and be determined to grow in this area
• Good communication skills
• Good cooking skills, able to present healthy, innovative and modern dishes
• Able to work under pressure
• Understanding of health and hygiene issues safety procedures and the use of firefighting equipment and first aid training
• Prepare, handle, and store food using internationally acceptable hygiene standards
• Clean and maintain kitchen and food preparation areas using internationally acceptable hygiene standards and according to the requirements of the hygiene audit.

SALARY PACKAGE:
R8 000 – R 10 000 + Accommodation, Meals when on duty, Uniform, daily laundry service
