A well-established company within the 5* Hospitality Industry in Eastern Cape is looking to employ a qualified and experienced Sous Chef, to join the Kitchen team.

Responsibilities (but not limited to):
• Daily preparation of meals and snacks as per the set menus to 5 star standards
• Willing to take responsibility for the kitchen, its equipment, the stock and the junior chefs working under him or her for the duration of his or her shift.
• Understand the importance of hygiene and safety measures in a kitchen and implement
• Understand and be familiar with food cost, orders, stock take and FIFO stock control
• Have good people and kitchen management skills

Requirements:
• Matric
• Have a cooking diploma from a recognized training institution and/or
• Have 2 -3 years working experience as a chef de partie at a 4-5 star establishment
• English - Well Spoken
• Presentable
• Customer Focused
• Computer literate on Ms word & excel and GAAP
• Drivers Licence preferred
• Contributing to team success
• Good knowledge of Food & Beverage Service
