Spa/Salon Manager, KrugersdorpSalary: Industry Related (to be discussed during interview)Description of business:This newly established salon/spa in a busy shopping centre is looking for a dynamic, target driven and enthusiastic person to join their team in leading and managing their salon. Requirements:
Grade 12 or equivalent.Minimum of 2 – 3 year Health and Skin Care Qualification with supporting International accreditation of either CIDESCO, SAAHSP or ITEC.3 Years Experience in a similar role.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Must be guest driven as five start treatment is expected at all times.Ability to work accurately under pressure.Excellent planning and operations skills.Be able to work well alone and part of a team.Excellent time management skills.Computer literacy in both Word and Excel.Valid Driver’s Licence and own transport.
Main responsibilities highlighted:
Successfully run, manager and taking care of the day to day operations of the spa.Willing to take pride in you working area, and be the leader and problem solver.Must be willing to work and effectively run the spa.
Key Skills:
Provide input into the Spa Business and consistently plan and market the spa.Monitor departmental budgets and prepare budget annually.Promote and developed team orientated philosophies.Ensure all reports are due on stipulated due dates.Work in harmony with other departments.Maintain excellent relationships with all staff in hotel and guests.Demonstrated excellent levels of professionalism, maturity and emotional intelligence.Constantly assess the training requirements of your staff and implementing any training requirements needed.Participate in research and development of your department and in marketing of this area.Evaluate staffing and staffing requirements.Deal with all guest complaints in a professional manner.Manage and monitor operational budget.Supervise spa staff and ensuring they adhere to all spa policies and procedures.Coordinate and conduct performance appraisals.Schedule staff meeting and staffing rosters.
