An exceptional opportunity awaits a dynamic individual with the right qualifications and experience to assume the position of Special Projects Manager.

Position Purpose:

The main purpose of the Operations Project Manager is serve as a link between Head Office Operations and company pipelines internal and external business, to identify operational opportunities and analyse operational requirements to determine their feasibility and overall benefit to the business, look at operational solutions which will serve as a specification for the detailed design and final implementation. The role will also serve as the Relief Depot Manager

Minimum requirements:

BTech (Chemistry, Mechanical, Electrical, Operations) and 5 to 8 years experience
Successfully completed the course in the duties of Coordinating Officer course (16 weeks) and planning courses (16 weeks)
Comprehensive knowledge of all pipeline operations
Have as sound knowledge of basic hydraulics
Basic management skills
Sound knowledge of the various options of product movement within the pipeline network
Intermediate to advance computer expertise
Quality control experience (Have a thorough knowledge of compatibility of products)
Code 08 licence and prepared to travel

Position outputs:

Implementing of stock management
Coordinating operational test runs
Initiation of operations projects
Implementation of optimization project (running an operational optimization suggestion scheme)
Management and maintenance of the SAP portal
Able to stand in any Head Office operational duty as and when required
Able to stand in as Relief Depot Manager and Terminal manager as and when required
Coordinating the Engineer in Training program
Coordinating the Technologist Program
Able to stand in as industry coordinator and senior planner
Determine operations projects required to meet the operations plan
High level design and feasibility studies for the operations projects
Resource organisation
Mentor and assist with operational training within operations
Organising the morning conference
Ensuring that weekly and operation notices as distributed and circulated to all
Give operational guidance
Giving directions on all aspect of the job as covered in the previous sections
Supervising Engineer in training and technologist programs
Monitors and controls all aspects of the job as covered above
Operations performance data analysis
Implementation and management of MIS
Participation in the LPT meetings
