Specialist IT Asset and Configuration Management
Contract: 12 months. Start date: Immediate. Exp: 6 years
Provide specialist input into defining the IT Asset & Configuration Management
(ITACM) strategy.
Provide timely updates to management, detailing priorities and progress, against the
ITACM strategy
Define and implement service improvements where required, in line with the ITACM
strategy
Provide specialist assistance to the ITACM Process Owner in defining and implementing any new processes or procedures, or changes to existing ones
Operations :
Ensure the ITACM team operates according to their defined function, and individual
members are allocated the correct work according to the role they perform
Monitor the team’s performance against agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPI)
and ensure all targets are met relating to delivery
Ensure the team understand and follow all relevant policies and procedures relevant
to their function
Escalate any issues to management in a timely manner
Compliance and Regulation:
Ensure the capture of complete and accurate configuration information for all
infrastructure, applications, networks and services and the accurate representation in
the bank’s Asset repository and Configuration Management Database (CMDB).
Analyse the content of discovery tools such as Application Discovery and
Dependency Mapper (ADDM) for data that can enrich and improve the accuracy of
the application models stored in the CMDB.
As accountable owner, ensure that Asset & Configuration data remains accurate in
the light of changes to infrastructure, applications, networks and services, and ensure
that all updates are made in a controlled manner
Assist the wider community in mitigation of Control Issues (CIxLS) that are dependent
on the ITACM processes or policies as defined at either Business Unit or Group level
Assist GTIS Africa in any audits that are dependent on, or based on, the ITACM
processes or policies
Team Management – 20%
Manage outside direct line of responsibility (matrix) to ensure roles and
responsibilities for ITACM are clearly understood and adhered to across the wider
Africa Technology organisation
Be a visible leader across the team and Technology Operations
Communication – 10%
Manage and promote use of the ITACM Process, Procedures and Technologies
including:
o IT asset discovery and tracking
o IT asset reporting
o IT asset data quality monitoring
o Service Mappings
Ensure that IT Asset and Configuration Management is highly visible bank-wide as a
centre of excellence
Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, Service Managers and
Support Teams
Education and Experience Required
ITIL Foundation v 3 (Required)
ITIL Release, Control and Validation (Preferred)
5 years broad based IT experience
