Our client in midrand is look for a VOIP Specialist.

· Provide technical assistance concerning the operation, installation, maintenance and service of VoIP Platform.
· Acts as the Technical Support Lead in escalated VoIP issues.
· Provide technical support over the telephone to customers in solving technical problems incurred in the installation or operation of VoIP Services.
· Provide 2nd tier and 3rd tier technical escalation support to the CSOC helpdesk.
· 4th Tier issues will be logged with Vendors.
· Travels to customer sites to troubleshoot escalated issues.
· Operates & participates in a 24 hour emergency support calls and escalations.
· Continually maintains, reviews and delivers technical, product support.
· Configure and Maintain New Services on Session Border Controller.
· Configure and Maintain New Services on Soft switch Platform.
· Adhere to change control policies for Customer configurations and Platform configuration changes.
· Assist Project Office in deploying customer VoIP solutions to successful implementation and completion.
· Assist Solution Architects in designing customer VoIP solutions to successful implementation.
· Monitor and Reporting of Customer VoIP Solutions service usage.
· Assist and Provide Technical input to Technical Service Development department in implementing and testing of New and existing VoIP products & services.
· Ensure the VoIP Platform supports Product and Business deliveries.
· Documenting of all Platform Hardware and Software information.
· Maintain Good Working Relationship with customers and Business partners..
· Monitoring of VoIP Platform Nodes 24/7 for critical core systems availability.
· Assurance-VoIP quality of service.
· Pro-active platform failover routine system tests.
· Implement & Testing of Interconnect Services on VoIP platform.
· Billing Assurance-ensure VoIP numbers have been activated for billing before activation on Platform.
· Platform Knowledge Transfer and Training to Co-workers.

Job Experience and Education:
• Matric with 5 Years’ experience in multiple technical disciplines, i.e. • Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Industry
• With at least 2 years within a complex IP voip or routing & switching environment with a service provider focus
• Certification in CCNP, CCVP or equivalent - is this essential with matric
OR
• 3 year minimum experience with Relevant 3 Year qualification in engineering or information technology e.g. • B.Sc Engineering (Electronic/ Electrical/ Computer) • B. Eng • B. Tech • B.Sc Information Technology/ Computer Science
With at least 2 years within a complex IP voip or routing & switching environment with a service provider focus
