Description: A company selling analytical equipment to the chemical, petrochemical, food and beverage, agricultural, medical and surgical industries requires a spectroscopy service engineer to join their team and be responsible for service of AAS, ICP OES, UV-VIS and FTIR instruments. Key duties are: site inspection prior to the installation of any new equipment by the service engineer; site preparation documentation must be explained to and discussed with the customer in detail; arrange and coordinate visits of international service technicians; installation of new equipment; completion of electronic order management system upon customer acceptance of the installed equipment; order and track spare parts when needed for breakdowns; keep track of and ensure timeous execution of all customer service contracts; service and maintenance of client equipment; ensure all administration requests are updated as a matter of urgency.

Key Requirements: Electrical engineering (light current) qualification minimum N6 or S4 Nat Diploma. A strong, dynamic well-spoken extrovert with excellent technical ability (AAS, ICP OES, UV-VIS and FTIR background is recommended). Driver’s license essential. Willingness to travel extensively.

Remuneration: Negotiable dependent on experience.
