SQL Database Administrator: R20 to R25 000.00 negotiable – Sandton

Our client a market leading IT outsourcing company are currently looking for the services of an experienced SQL Database Administrator (2 to 3 years). Excellent career prospects and potential for growth.

Job Description and Requirements

The following is required:

• Previous desktop support advantageous
• SQL, ORACLE DB, My SQL, T-SQL, MSSQL (2008, 2012, 2014) SSIS, SSRS and Analysis Services
• Maintaining server health, eager to learn new technologies
• Have a high attention to detail.
• Be able to take ownership of problems and co-ordinate to resolution
• Be able to prioritize tasks and manage multiple tasks
• Evaluate and recommend new databases/BI technologies
• Ensure that DB systems are functioning correctly and meeting the Company’s client’s requests and needs
• Be available for 24hr Standby when required
• Linux experience and MySQL/Oracle would be advantageous

Qualifications:

• Qualification (MCSE or MCSA)
• MySQL, Oracle DB, MS SQL, qualifications
• Certification or Experience in Tableau, Qlik View, Microsoft BI or MicroStrategy will be valued
• CTI or similar qualifications
• Technicon advantageous
• University Degree preferred but not essential
• 2 to 3 years in a similar role
