Skilled Position

A Financial Leader with international platforms seeks a SQL DBA Administrator for daily activities of managing and maintaining all the SQL environments

Responsibilities:
• Operational support of the SQL infrastructure, databases and lifecycle management
• SQL design, capacity management, monitoring and reporting, implementation(s), migration(s) and upgrade(s) of SQL environments
• Perform database administration, maintenance, performance tuning, security, and troubleshooting
• Perform SQL Servers installations, configurations, upgrades, and migrations
• Establish and maintain standards, procedures and automation strategies for tools and monitoring
• Create SQL scripts and SSRS Reports based on requirements
• Ability to provide on-call and 24x7 DBA support
• Understand business requirements and ensure business SLA’s are met at all times
• Make suggestions for improvements and enhancements to the SQL environment

Skills and Qualifications:
• Troubleshooting skills (Hardware and Software) (essential)
• Certificate or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
• In-depth knowledge of SQL Server 2005/2008/2008 R2/2012 (essential)
• Knowledge of SSIS and SSRS 2005/2008/2008 R2/2012 (essential)
• Knowledge of Windows Server 2003/2008/2008 R2/20012 (essential)
• Knowledge of T-SQL language
The following experience is preferred, but not required:
• A bachelor’s degree in MIS, computer science, or related qualification and experience
• Linux skills (advantageous).

Experience:
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience of Windows Desktop OS skills
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience of Windows Application skills (Word Excel etc)
• Windows Server OS skills (minimum 2 years)
• Experience with Win Server OS 2008 and 2012 administration required
• Experience with Diagnostics software
• Experience with Windows Admin tools
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Microsoft SQL Server.
• Experience with client-server computing and relational database environments
• Knowledge of SSRS Reporting and T-SQL language
