Purpose:
- Maintain and Improve Database Systems and services.
- Maintain Data integrity.
- 5+ years of experience with MySQL (Database)
- 5+ years of experience with Linux
- 3+ years of experience with Ms SQL (Server)
- Programming and Scripting.
- Database Systems that applications like webapp, opensips, asterisk depend on.
- Mostly MySQL (Percona)
- Some Ms SQL systems
- Ensure 100% database availability.
- Increase database uptime
- Increase database efficiency and speed (Indexing etc)
- Improve slow queries
- Monitor servers - System Health and Performance
- Improve database systems/servers when needed
- Ensure database backups
- Ensure Relevant Archives are done and Data integrity is met.
- Assist in Design and development of applications from a Database perspective. Procedures and functions in sql etc.
- Optimise Databases
- Ensure Proper Replication between systems.
- Own and Complete all database related projects and tickets
- Deployment of new Database systems as required.
- Setup and Maintain replication as required.
