Our client is currently looking for strong SQL developers to join their Data Engineering team as client-facing, permanently employed consultants. Good communication and collaboration skills are therefore a must, as well as great technical ability on at least one database platform (ideally MS SQL or Oracle). There will be exposure to a wide range of industries, so the ability to quickly understand new business environments is essential.

What Will You Do?

• Identify and develop cutting edge and innovative technology solutions to enable better decision making for their customers
• Participate in analysis and design sessions – work with business analysts to determine the best fit solution for their clients
• Deliver the complete BI solution with the consulting team
• Communicate progress with client and project teams
• Produce technical and user documentation

Who Do You Need?

• Relevant Degree e.g. Computer Science, Information Systems .
• Microsoft Certified (advantageous)
• At least 2 years’ experience with Microsoft SQL Server / Oracle / SAP DS database and ETL tools
• Consulting experience (advantageous)
• Good understanding of data warehousing and analytical methodologies and solution delivery
• Strong problem solving skills
• Excellent communication skills with the emphasis on relationship building, understanding business requirements, and management of business expectations
• Ability to be proactive and accountable for your own deliverables
• Ability to work within a team
• Effective planning and organizational skills
• Ability to work under pressure and be deadline driven
• Eagerness and willingness to learn – a positive attitude is everything!
