Our client in Mining is looking for a Field Communications Technician, with server experience and SQL.

The FT is responsible for providing a professional and efficient level of service to all SP Mine Safety clients; in particular this role will have emphasis on electronic service at our client’s sites. The FT will specialize in the provision of technical support and servicing of our range of communications products and third party supplied radio equipment.

This includes, but is not limited to the CommTrac system, Wi-Fi Transceiver System, Tracker, Proximity Detection Interface and Telecommunications equipment

• Experience in technology in the mining sector - specifically at surface and underground mine sites (will be an added advantage)
• Ability to assemble, configure, test and fully stage solutions.
• Onsite installation
• Ability to plan and configure comprehensive IP Networking equipment including Cisco switches and routers.
• Extensive experience with networking, 802.11x, QOS and working with VLAN structure and configuration.
• Proven experience with PBX technologies including Asterix, Cisco Call Manager and other as may be required.
