Qualification:

Matric

IT related Degree

BSc preferred



Skills & Experience:

4+ years of SQL Development experience

Payments industry experience would be advantageous

SQL experience: A good understanding of stored procedures and other DBMS concepts

Ability to write efficient, technically sound SQL code

Experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2, 2012 and 2014 is a must



Job Description:

Writing SQL using established code standards and methodologies.

Developing and maintaining stored procedures, tables, functions and any other SQL required.

Ensuring that good code quality and best practices are maintained.

Unit testing of enhancements and issues before releasing to the Product team for QA.

Providing client support in troubleshooting and addressing critical issues in client environments when other lines of support are not available or not suitable to address the issue at hand (this would require after-hours work).

Assisting the Chief Engineer in various tasks related to the Engineering Department.

Providing assistance and support to fellow Engineers, including coding support, e-Commerce Platform support, etc.

Maintaining accountability in task resolution and seeing the process through from task loggingto resolution.
