• A Degree or equivalent qualification
• At least five years working experience in research (research within the training and development environment will be an
added advantage)
• Knowledge and application of relevant legislation governing SETAs and skills development in general
• Sound experience in stakeholder management
• Experience in report writing
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
• Valid drivers licence and own vehicle.
KEY COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
• Conduct research and develop the Sector Skills Plan for the five sub-sectors for the SETA
• Coordinate research assignments
• Manage WSP/ATR submission processes
• Determine and annually update SETA scarce and critical skills and Career Guide
• Review and update the SETA Management System on skills planning to meet new requirements
• Liaise with the sector and provide support to Skills Development Facilitators.
