* Degree or diploma in Engineering or Science with a minimum of 5 years post graduate industrial experience, stack emission testing experience highly desirable, experience in quality management systems desirable, financial management involvement in a project orientated organization, related acknowledgement of training in applicable environmental specialist field or related industry and legal training relating to Health & Safety. *

Location: Randburg, Gauteng
Description: An international company providing testing services to the mining and related industries requires a Stack Emissions Manager (Environmental Services). The key duties will include the following: provide technical support, training and guidance to emission testing personnel; direct management of the emission testing activities and personnel; lead, coach and develop a business-oriented team with a strong technical support; act as principal client liaison, representing company in technical and commercial meetings, and other forums; promote/market the service through direct client meetings and other communication modes; manage the proposal/tender process in line with clients scope of work; working with the planning function, ensure effective and efficient project planning and execution; conduct periodic (minimum monthly) project execution and review meetings with relevant personnel; identify and recommend efficiency improvements and training as required; implement a performance management system that focus on improvements of the business product line in terms of financial returns, project efficiency and technical quality of work performed; overall responsibility in terms of emission testing-specific Quality System, ensuring appropriate resources are available to implement and maintain system; review of monthly invoicing of completed work and projects (received from financial administrators); monthly revenue, LC forecast, and expense control – with assistance from business functions; inspect offices and operations periodically to ensure that an appropriate standard of equipment, presentation and office discipline is maintained; provide regular, clear communication with managers and senior staff regarding performance relative to company and personal objectives; operate to the highest standards of ethics; perform any other reasonable tasks as assigned by direct line manager.
Key Requirements: Degree or diploma in Engineering or Science with a minimum of 5 years post graduate industrial experience. Stack emission testing experience highly desirable. Experience in quality management systems desirable. Financial management involvement in a project orientated organization, related acknowledgement of training in applicable environmental specialist field or related industry and legal training relating to Health & Safety.

Remuneration: Market Related
