Our client within the Automotive Manufacturing environment is currently searching for a Steel Production Supervisor for the plant in Durban KZN to start immediately

Related qualifications
Experience Required:
Minimum of 8 years extensive hands on supervision experience in related production environment
Introduction and maintenance of QMS, procedures, policies, quality records
24 hr production facility experience
Steel fabrication line optimization experience
HSE management
Can demonstrate ability to improve production efficiencies
Good HR and IR skills and experience to manage a team
Experienced a working under pressure to deliver daily volumes for assembly
Job functions:
Production planning, monitoring and output
Material planning
Resource management, staff and equipment
Shift staff management, time and attendance, training, staff needs, HR and IR policy compliance
Ensure daily production targets are met with high quality standards.
HSE, housekeeping
Continuous improvement through processes improvements, waste reduction, equipment design and staff training
Knowledge Required:
In depth steel fabrication process knowledge, including cutting, bending, welding, electroplating and assembling.
Electro-galvanizing plating line knowledge, process and quality control
Maintenance of process & equipment
Quality Management Systems training, steel fabrication industry
Production or operations management qualification
Computer literate MS Office with strong Excel skills
