Our client in the Footwear Retail Industry is seeking the expertise of an experienced Stock Auditor to join their growing team.
Functions / Responsibilities:
? Lead a team of loss prevention and security professionals in supporting company wide risk mitigation efforts; champion the employee awareness program throughout the facility to promote a culture of honesty and responsibility
? Design, implement and monitor security and loss prevention policies, procedures and programs to support established goals and objectives with given priorities, time limitations and financial responsibilities
? Plan, examine, analyze, evaluate and supervise security operations, including physical assets & stock/inventory, staff & security personnel; perform audits on a regular basis, including physical surveys of premise security, perimeter checks, spot checks and cash office.
? Prepare performance reports (audit findings, investigations, reports of losses, violations, threats, dangers or perceived and/or identified risks, etc.) for operations management and executive leadership team
? Develop and maintain vendor relationships in support of security and loss prevention; vendors may include contract guard service, under cover guards, CCTV, off-duty police and other security support companies
? Direct and coordinate security and loss prevention functions, including personnel actions such as recruitment, selections, transfers, promotions, counsel and discipline or dismissal measures; consult with HR as appropriate
? Identify and resolve security and/or loss-related concerns or problems; conduct and/or direct internal investigations of any losses or violations of stock, monetary loss, company regulations, policies and procedures
? Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks.
Requirements:
? Grade 12 or higher
? Position related internal courses and training
? A minimum of 5 years solid experience in a Stock Auditor/Loss Control Manager/Asset Protection Manager- Retail environment is essential
? Experience in the field of corporate security, including experience in a distribution/warehousing environment
? Managed teams as a direct Line Manager
? Computer literate in MS Word, Excel, MS Outlook, PowerPoint
? Own transport advantageous
? Must be willing to travel extensively (80% travelling country wide and 30% office based/local stores)
? Organizational awareness by demonstrating knowledge of policy, procedures and discipline
? Working knowledge of relevant legislation impacting on business
? Basic knowledge on LRA
? Highly motivated, energetic, self-starter who has the ability to be proactive
? Can act independently on own initiative and have the ability to work well under pressure
