Our client is launching a new Hotel with International Affiliates in the beautiful Franschhoek Valley. We are looking for a thorough Stock Controller that has strong HOTEL industry experience; preferably at least 3 years in a previous 5* Environment.The ideal candidate should be:MeticulousWell presentedExcellent datacapturingAttention to detailTASKS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES RESPONSIBLE FOR INVENTORY STORES CONTROL To requisition goods and supplies from the Suppliers to ensure that maximum/minimum stock levels in the stores are maintained.To ensure that goods received are of the quality and quantity ordered and in accordance with the agreed price and product specifications.To ensure the timeous and correct completion of all administration in respect of deliveries on the same day that said delivery took place.To complete all documentation and take the necessary action in cases of non-delivery, substandard deliveries or over pricing.To actively manage, update and communicate the delivery schedule and any deviations thereto to senior management.To ensure that all goods are stored correctly, in terms of temperature, humidity and shelf life and that no food items are stored on the floor.To ensure that hygiene standards, both inside and outside the store are maintained. (e.g.: receiving bay, cellar, stationery store, dry store, receiving lift).To ensure that perishable goods are stored at stipulated temperatures, so that these items are not overstocked.To ensure correct stock rotation in all stores and that all issues are effected on a first in, first out basis.To ensure that the collection of empties and delivery of goods is STRICTLY supervised to minimize loss and pilferage.To ensure that all issues are made against requisitions and that no items leave the storeroom without the required documentation having been processed.To ensure maximum security of al storeroom areas, that no unathorised person enters the stores or is issued with a key allowing access.To inform management and follow agreed procedures in the case of spoilage or damage of any item.To take stock at midmonth and month end and ensure that all necessary administration is completed without delay regardless if the date should fall on either a weekend or public holiday Operating Procedures: All goods to be packed in stores neatly, using the first in first out principal.Expiry dates to be checked on goods, prior to storage.Beverage issues to take place from 09:30 to 10:00 and from 14:30 to 15:00Invoices to be processed, verifying quantities ordered and received against the purchase orders on the day which the delivery has taken placeCompare quoted prices to invoiced prices and to inform the purchasing manager of any deviation in pricing and to issue credit notes in lieu of the price variancesCapture and process all departmental transfers and issues from cellars and stores on the relevant system on the day that the transfer is affected.Check stock levels of cellar and dry store and provide the purchasing manager with a standard purchasing requisition for any stock that is to be ordered.Purchasing requisitions to be given to purchaser before 16:00 daily for orders that need to be placed for delivery the next day.
